Air freight dimensional-weight divisor
Air freight dimensional weight uses 6,000 cm³/kg as a common reference preset (equating 1 CBM to ~166.67 kg). This value is not universal and may vary by carrier, service and tariff.
Courier dimensional-weight divisor
5,000 cm³/kg is widely used as a common reference preset for international parcel couriers rather than a universal standard. Divisors may vary by carrier, service level, and contract.
Ocean Freight W/M Rule
LCL ocean shipping bills on Weight or Measure (W/M): 1 Revenue Ton equals either 1 CBM or 1,000 kg (1 Metric Ton), whichever generates higher revenue for the carrier.
